Financial Aid on the Web
Here are some additional web sites that have helpful information concerning financial aid:
www.fastweb.com www.collegeboard.org
www.finaid.org
At the above sites you can estimate your Expected Family Contribution. The EFC
(Expected Family Contribution) is how much you will be expected to contribute to your
child's education. Cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, books, etc.) minus
the Expected Family Contribution (determined by FAFSA) and other scholarship assistance
equals a student's eligibility for financial aid.
You can also do a free scholarship search at the above web sites.
Loans are available to students (maximum of $2,625 the first year increasing to $3,500 and
then to $5,500 each of the last two years) and to parents. Students must apply for
financial aid to receive a loan. A parent may borrow up to the cost of the student's
education.
