COL Tim Golden has
served as Director of Financial Aid at VMI since 1987. He is a 1971 graduate of VMI with a
B.A. in English and holds an M.Ed. from Lynchburg College. COL Golden serves as a member
of the Lexington City Council and has been active in a variety of community organizations.
He is married to the former Leah Lee Waller of Richmond, VA. They have two children. Kate
is a class of 2000 college graduate currently working in financial aid and Jay is a
college junior.

Ms. Pat Troppoli came to the VMI financial
aid office in 1981 as an enrollment and student services assistant. She is a native of
Rockbridge County and is married to Dan Troppoli, former Director of Admissions at VMI.
Pat has two daughters and three grandchildren; Alexis, Meg, and Spencer. Her hobbies were
once reading, sewing, and knitting; but now they are finger
painting, making crafts, and baking cookies with her grandchildren.

Ms. Stacie Tomlin came to VMI in
September 1998. She will graduate in May 2001 from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College
with an Associate of Arts and Science degree. She plans to transfer to Mary Baldwin
College in the Adult Degree Program, where she will obtain her teacher's license in Early
Childhood Education. Her hobbies include spending time with her boyfriend and family,
working with children, and being outdoors.
